Leadership Scholarships

| The Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholarships are awarded to senior
nurses and midwives who are already in significant and important posts, in
order to secure the future leadership of the profession into the 21st century.
It was recognised that there was a serious need to invest in bespoke
leaderships experiences, for those with the potential to reach the most senior
leaderships positions in nursing and midwifery. The leadership programmes are based on the needs of the individuals and the profession. The Chief Nursing Officers of the four countries of the United Kingdom and the Chair of the Council of Deans put forward appropriate nominations, to be selected by a panel appointed by the Foundation. The Leadership Scholarships are funded by generosity of the Burdett Trust for Nursing.
