Travel Scholarships For Registered Nurses and Midwives

Up Travel Research Funding How to Apply Leadership
These scholarships, which are available to all British and Commonwealth nurses and midwives registered with the NMC and working in the UK, are awarded for projects connected with the applicant's field of work and which will benefit their patients/clients and the professions more widely.

Candidates should have at least two years' professional experience subsequent to registration. Applications from those at the developmental stage of their career are particularly welcome.

The amount awarded to each individual depends on the scope of the project to be undertaken, its length (study leave must be for a minimum of 3-4 weeks) and the country or countries proposed for the particular study. The study may be carried out in the UK, in an overseas country or countries, or a combination of both.

A report (which will be made available to the professions) is required within four months of commencing study leave.

The selection process which takes place in the autumn will enable Scholars to undertake study tours during the following year.
