We are delighted to announce that the 2010 Commemoration
Service to commemorate the life and work of Florence Nightingale will be
held in Westminster Abbey at 6.15pm on Wednesday 12 May 2010.
2010 is the Centenary year of the
death of Florence Nightingale. As it is a very special Centenary year,
The
Rt Reverend Archbishop Desmond Tutu will be giving the address at this
year’s service.
During the Service the Procession of the Lamp takes place. The Lamp will be
carried by a Scholar of the Foundation and will be escorted by student
nurses from the Armed Services and The Florence Nightingale School of
Nursing London.
Entrance to the Service is by ticket only. These are free and available
during March and April 2010. For security reasons it is important that you
apply in writing or email us or use the pro-forma (click HERE for link) and
the tickets will be sent to you as above.
Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. |
