Leadership Scholarships

**To apply for the 2017 - 18 Chief Nursing Officer for England Leadership scholarships for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) nurses and midwives working in the NHS in England, please access the 'Scholarship' webpage**

 

Applications for the following Leadership Scholarships 2017-18 are now CLOSED. 

General Leadership Scholarships of up to £15,000 are available to nurses, midwives working at a senior level in health and social care.  These scholarships are also open to Deans and Deputy Deans of Schools of Nursing / Faculties of Health in Universities.

Scholars undertake a bespoke programme geared to their individual needs.  

Aspiring Deans Leadership Scholarships of up to £15,000 are available to senior educators, researchers and practitioners looking to take on a role as a Dean of a university faculty with nursing, midwifery or AHP programmes. 

Scholars undertake a bespoke programme geared to their individual needs. 

Aspiring Nurse Directors Leadership Scholarships of up to £14,000 are available to experienced nurses and midwives who have the potential to secure a Board level position in the next 2 - 3 years.

Scholars undertake a core programme of development in addition to a bespoke programme geared to their individual needs.  

Emerging Leaders Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available to Band 7 and 8 nurses and midwives.  Applicants must have already completed a front line leadership development programme before the start of the scholarship. 

Scholars undertake a core programme of development in addition to a bespoke programme geared to their individual needs. 

There are particular scholarships available for Children and Young People’s Nurses working in Cancer and Public Health.

Public Health England Chief Nurse Directorate – The Nana Quawson Public Health Leadership award of up to £11,000 for current registered health visitor or school nurse, professional leader or future leader for public health nurses working with children, young people and families? 

Offering a bespoke scholarship to an individual from a registered health visitor or school nurse background who wants to become a strong leader with the skills and self-confidence to contribute positively and make a tangible difference to the outcomes for children, young people and families.
