Students' Day
Date: Wednesday 9 May, 2012
Venue: The Governor's Hall, St Thomas' Hospital
One of our most popular events is the annual Students' day. We invite students from each University in the UK that has a School of Nursing and Midwifery to spend a day with the Foundation in London.
The day will include:
- Plenary Discussion session where students are invited to raise questions or concerns to a panel of senior nurses
- Full tour of the Florence Nightingale Museum together with a history of the life and times of Miss Nightingale, and her continuing influence on nursing today
- A visit to the Florence Nightingale Chapel in Westminster Abbey and attendance at the Annual Florence Nightingale Commemoration Service in the Abbey.
The day starts with registration from 10am to 11am, lunch follows at 1.15pm, tea at 4.30pm and the service will end at approximately 7.30pm.
If you would like to attend you will need to be nominated by either your Dean or Lecturer using the attached pro-forma. Deadline for nominations to reach the Foundation is Wednesday 4 April 2012.
