All of these
must be academically supervised and must involve research with the aim of
improving practice. The Charity Commission requires that all research
funded by the Foundation meets the guidance issued in their document
"Charities and Research" (October 1990).
Applicants must be committed to evidence-based
practice and have current clinical links.
On completion
of the course or period of research, the Foundation will require a written
report from the Scholar on the study undertaken and its value and
contribution it has made to their professional practice.
The Foundation
cannot pay for secretarial assistance, computers, stationery, travel
expenses to and from place of study, replacement staff costs or for unpaid
study leave while the Scholar is undertaking the study, nor can a
scholarship be awarded retrospectively.

Due to limited resources, these are the only courses
funded by the Foundation.
