Research Scholarships Criteria
- Applicants must have had at least one year post-registration professional experience and have current links in practice.
- The Foundation cannot pay for replacement staff costs or for unpaid study leave while the scholar is undertaking the study nor can a scholarship be awarded retrospectively.
- The selection process takes place in July for scholars undertaking their course or period of research during the forthcoming academic year.
- The Foundation has 3 distinct areas of Research Scholarships available. These are:-

- A piece of clinical practice research that targets improvements in patient care within an academic programme. This year's specialist interest focus for The Foundation is the Provision of Dignified Care. Research Scholarships within this area of research would be particularly welcome for 2012/13
- Research at Doctoral or Post Doctoral level (with academic supervision or support) which can demonstrate direct benefit to patient care.
- It is your responsibility to notify your referees and ensure that references are received with your application by the closing date.
