The
Travel Scholarships take Scholars far and wide to study a range of
subjects covering every aspect of nursing, midwifery and
education.
The
Band Trust Research Scholarships enable nurses and midwives to undertake a course in research methods,
an evidence-based practice module or a research-based component of a graduate
programme or a research dissertation as part of a degree course. These are the only COURSES funded by the Foundation.
Each Scholar writes a report and these are publicised widely, borrowed and
copied freely, thus Scholars share the knowledge they gain with many others.
When
Should One Apply For A Scholarship?
Information with dates on when to apply is available on this website under "HOW
TO APPLY" button at the top of this page.
Does
The Foundation Fund Courses?
NO... except those mentioned above.
Where
Does The Money Come From?
The Foundation raises funds from annual appeals,
Gift Aid Declarations, and
donations both from individuals and from companies. Many of the Foundation’s
most generous supporters have been giving financial support over a long period
of time. The Foundation is greatly indebted to them.
A number of our
Scholarships are individually and generously sponsored and bear the name of the
sponsoring organisation.
What Are The Advantages Of A Florence Nightingale
Foundation Scholarship?
All the Scholars say how much the award has helped them develop, both
personally and professionally. The practice and service delivery of nursing and midwifery are improved for the benefit of patients and the
community.
